It's time to release layers of tension and restore. In this workshop Jennifer will use lots of cosy props and cushions to guide you through restorative poses with a focus on rejuvenating the body and mind. This workshop is open to all fitness levels and also Mums-to-be. It will be especially beneficial to those suffering from insomnia and stress. Take home the knowledge of how you can recreate mindfulness and relaxation at home to nourish your body with a semi-retreat anytime!

 

In Restorative Yoga, we place the body in comfortable supported positions to conscious shift the body into a Relaxation Response, a physiological state characterized by a slower heart rate and breathing rate, lower blood pressure and slower brain wave patterns. This allows the central nervous system to relax, and the body is able to release long-held layers of tension. Surrendering to the intelligence of the body, consciously and unconsciously, the body is able to restore back to health. Taking time each day to relax and renew is essential to living well, especially when living in one of the world's busiest cities.

YOGA INVERSIONS WORKSHOP

There's something in most of us that longs to turn the world on it's head and just pause there for a bit. On the longest day of the year, we thought we'd celebrate by doing just that. Inversions guru Andy Page will be in the house offering us the chance to try something new, to trust ourselves a little more, and to learn the upsides of being upside down. Mats, straps, blocks and cushioned props will be provided. All levels are welcome.

We've invited maternity experts including Slice midwife Vicki Scott for Q&A with our team of nutrition, yoga and womens' wellness specialists! Julie is also a Certified Holistic Health Counselor through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in New York City, the world’s largest nutrition school. Julie was one of the first graduates to successfully bring this spectacular holistic health program from the IIN to London.

ROCKET YOGA WORKSHOP & LIVE DJ

If you've ever craved a bit of rebellion in Yoga class, this is the workshop that will set you free. Experience the challenging Rocket 3 yoga series, led by Jamie Clarke, one of the world's most prominent teachers of the Rocket style. Rocket is rooted in Ashtanga Vinyasa, but breaks free from the predictable series and encourages you to soar! Jamie has been influenced by many styles of yoga, most notably Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yin, Jivamukti and Mandala, and credits the yoga journey as medicine, companion, teacher and a true portal to inner serenity. The class will be soundtracked by fellow yoga teacher DJ Marcus Lord Veda whose accolades include Australian festivals, casino rooftops in Vegas, Armani’s yacht in Monte Carlo, mud-caked stages in Glastonbury and sweaty little clubs in NYC that make Bikram feel like a cold shower. This workshop is ideal for those with Intermediate to Advanced Vinyasa practice but all are welcome. The Nutrition & exercise workshop will start identifying the best weight loss techniques focusing on the resetting of hormones.

 

TRAIN
- A 40 min practical session (wear workout clothes, trainers, and be prepared to sweat!) combining the most effective exercise techniques for fat burning – including spin, circuit, HIIT.


TREAT
- And after working hard, finally your well deserved treat! During the last part of the session you will be given information on how to repair and look after your body post workout, involving snacks and body maintenance.

Our highly-popular antenatal course is led by midwives and maternity consultants with an abundance of expertise for expectant or new parents, providing full preparation for labour, birth (whatever type of birth you are planning), and the early days and weeks with your newborn baby. The course includes up to 6 classes, 2 hours each. Three of the classes include fathers to be and three are mums to be only. The course takes place at the Studios for a fee of £360 per couple or £280 for members. 

ARGENTINE TANGO (BEG/INT)

SEASONAL EVENT, HOSTED BY NATALIE HUNT

Free your body and mind and escape into a sensual world. Hugely enjoyable and differing from the usual workout, delightful Natalie will guide you through the fundamental elements of technique, grounding, connection, communication, floor craft, etiquette, music and culture. All-levels are welcome, with or without a partner. A firm foundation in these basic principles will make you a competent and confident dancer.  Drop-In:  Â£12 per person, FREE TO MEMBERS!
